About BreakThru's Mentoring Island

The centerpiece of the BreakThru project is our Mentoring Island in Second Life. Built on Second Life's sophisticated virtual reality software platform and delivered over the Web to any browser, Mentoring Island is a place where mentors and STEM students can meet, discuss, and break through!

Although the island is not yet open to the public, you can visit Second Life (registration required) and explore on your own. It's free and easy.
