    • Universities invite accomplished scientists to campus to speak on their work. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about current findings and to meet leaders across various fields.
    • Introduce yourself and convey your enthusiasm by complimenting their work
    • Your advisor can assist you with locating seminars
  • Attend Professional Meetings
    • Professional societies in every field have annual meetings
    • Meetings are a great place in which to learn from others, experience camaraderie, and network.
    • Your department may be able to fund your attendance at a meeting
